QUESTION ABOUT ORIGINAL TRANS AM URETHANE FRONT NOSE

Hi,I was wondering if General Motors changed the material the front bumpers on the Trans Ams and Firebirds were made of over the years. My 1982 had a yellowish/orange urethane type rubber underneath,my 88 looks like the material is black under the paint. Did they change the materials to a black rubber by that time?

Think I posted this in the wrong section! Meant for it to be in "body" section.

Interesting. I've seen them both ways In the junkyard.
