I've got a rough GTA hardtop roller that I bought just for the 5 speed and then discovered it still had its 9 bolt rear under it and has Recaros but its stored at my engine guys shop at the moment and I've not looked it over other than seeing it once up on the rollback. I'm eventually going to get it home and see if its savable or not.
Havent brought that one home yet but just bought another GTA roller out of Florida and it was dropped off this morning. Missing some parts and has the wrong hatch but title and carfax shows it is a 95k mile car. They were getting ready to make a street racer out of it so the interior had been out and just tossed back in it.
My engine guy brought me the red GTA over the weekend and I finally got to look it over for the first time since buying it and while its probably buildable the vin plate is pretty rusted and not sure I can get enough of it to show to get a title for it. It does still have the vin stickers on the quarters and decoded they show it to be an 89 5.0 TPI car. I think it was originally burgundy before being repainted in red and the interior may have been tan but is a custom tweed now from the 90's.
Something had been living in it as the whole rear hatch was full of dirt, sticks and branches mostly. Its covered in black tree grime as well so started trying to scrub that stuff off and looks like it has extra damage that incurred from the original pictures before being moved 2 times.
Filled a big plastic tub with the stuff from inside it and then vacuumed it all out. Floors look relatively solid other than a hole at the front of the tunnel both sides and some surface rust. Driver side roof is rusted and the passenger A pillar has a rust hole.
