Found the issue today, put a patch on it but may order a new tire and use this one as backup.

Brand new tire too, right? That's not in the sidewall for sure, but it's out in the outer row of tread blocks, which see wuite a load in hard cornering. Thread Starter

Glad to see you made it to FF24 with the teal car.
We had to cancel our plans with about a week to go. Maybe next year.

May as well have a brake upgrade party. Wags going with LS brakes and I'm going 1LE. Those factory paint inspection marks really warm my heart....

Looking good Tony, she went to a good home. Ever consider having custom brake shields made by a sheet metal fab house? Why didn't GM put any on anyway?

Nice upgrades Tony. Envious of your being able to reuse the factory strut boots. Mine had some cracks and I didn't trust them. Wasted a month on some alternatives, but finally have parts to put it back together.

Also dug into the column and found a backed out pivot pin on left side. Cleaned it up, put on some locktite and put it back together

Picked up some lowering springs for the teal 92
Set of 17" formula wheels for my 89 vert or ttop350, maybe I'll just order another set so i don't have to choose which car gets them.

Re: Teal 92 formula 350 w ttops
I highly recommend the Koni Yellow Sport shocks and struts. We had them on a 33k mile 90 Formula hardtop with a bunch of UMI parts for lowered cars and UMI lowering springs and that car was the best riding and handling 3rd gen I ever been it. Rode amazing on the Koni shocks and struts with stock WS6 springs or the UMI lowering springs with stock 16x8 Formula wheels and Hankook Ventus V2 Concept 245/50 HR16 tires and the 17x9 Hawk's Diamond Spoke wheels and Firehawk Indy 500 275/40 ZR17 tires.
I just don't think a man can go wrong with Koni Yellow Sports.

Delco plugs, LT1 starter and alternator swap.
Also, have lowering springs in and still working on totl catback swap.
Strut code for 89 tta, think anyone will notice? 😆

Re: Teal 92 formula 350 w ttops
The TOTL is the best sounding 3rd gen exhaust ever. IMO, of course. One of my best friends once said; "It sounds all nice and bubbly around town, but at 5500, it sounds like a winston cup NASCAR."
That might be a bit of an exaggeration, but when Mustang-owning friends of yours give that kind of unsolicited feedback...that's pretty good. I KNOW you've all seen this before, but let's just take a moment to turn up the volume and listen from 2:00 to ~2:30,
...and then from 3:45 as it accelerates away from the camera.....OH! My god that sounds delicious! Why can't 'Vettes sound that like that, too!??

The original bag was misplaced along the way is why this is getting a new bag.

1st test drive, back when i got the car, i noticed the lights moved funny so i ordered a couple rebuild kits from Lon @ TDS.
Finally, tonight, the motors were rebuilt. .
All my cars have Lons rebuild kits, plus i keep a couple spares, incase a new car shows up. Lol Good stuff as always.

Nice, that's gotta feel good!
FYI, (for future headlights) you can simply fill the ID of the "triangle" with epoxy and assemble. Costs zero, works great!

Re: Teal 92 formula 350 w ttops
Did you have some Bilstein struts stashed away? One of mine sprang a little leak last year, and I discovered that Bilstein doesn't make the struts anymore, only the shocks--and only the shock for standard ride height. They also used to offer a shock for lowered cars, which is what I have, but that one's history now too.
I contacted Bilstein, but the best they could suggest was a shop that repairs them. Not sure when the struts were discontinued, but apparently a while ago, because I couldn't find any. This was last summer.
I replaced them with a pair of Ground Control's strut housings with Koni cartridges.
