Mark, have you talked to that older guy that runs the show up there to let him know we're gonna show up? If they start roping things off at 2 o'clock, it would be nice to know that we'll have a place where we can all park together. Just a thought. Trying to make sure everything goes smoothly. But you know our luck, it'll probably rain again.

I'm starting to get excited. The thought of all these thirdgens in one place. Hmmm, we need a thirdgen.org banner or something.

 

I don't have off work till the 17th, so I'll stop by that day and let the guy know. Remember the show is the 24th Nasty.... in anothher post you thought it was next weekend.

 

I dont have a thirdgen banner but I do have Maryland Chapter MAFBA banner that I could wave high, that is if you guys dont mind being associated

 

I could print one out at work on the plotter. It would be up to 42 inches tall and as long as it needed to be. It would be made of paper though

 

Yeah Twist, print that out, it'd be nice to put up on RT 4 so others can see as they passs.

Stopped by the show today. Next week we need to get there around 2pm and the guy said we'll have a spot for all of us. I met another guy there with a 25th Ann RS, very clean ride. Can't wait for it.

Welcome, you're about 40 mins away. Sure come on down, doesn't cost anything. Looks like it might rain Sat, I hope ****in not, dryest Aug ever and it might rain that day.

You know how to get to RT.2 I hope? Then just get on RT 4 south. It will be about 12 miles south on your right, in a Food Lion Shopping Center, with an Arbys, Ruby Tuesdays, and Autozone there too. Since you won't have a car just show up sometime around 4 or so if you want to get there when most cars do, or 2pm we will be there.

It's in Prince Frederick by the way. You'll pass a hospital on your left with a tall red/white striped water tower, the next light after that 1/4 down the road is the show.

OK fellas, we need to come together and :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: to the weather gods for no rain and plenty of sun. You think we should give up some sort of offering? Maybe a bacon egg and cheese biscuit before we leave McDonalds? How do you spell cheese? One "E" or two? Or we could offer the Car Gods some nice blue smoke on our way out of McyD's.

 

Serioulsy, I went out cruzin. Saw a 3rd GEn pullin out of Autozone. So I caught up at a lite and got out and handed him the flyer.

 

I'll be there for the McD's thingy. Man I hope it does not rain again. On another note, UPS STINKS. My remote starter solenoid kit will not be here until -monday-. I was supposed to have it -this- tuesday. That makes things a little more hairy than I was hoping for, I got most all of the little issues knocked out, and was planning on using that to aleaviate my hot start problem. I am going to have to try and be creative on coming up with a temporary solution, I just hope it holds out. As Steve86TA has seen first hand, It's a long push, and the iroc is a portly bas-tid! :sillylol:

On a side note, Anyone considering a 5 speed swap on a 350 car, do yourself a favor and buy a HO mini starter before you do the swap.

I'm going to try to make it this time. Since I've never done this before, I hope you don't mind a couple of questions.

I'm going to be stopping off at a race shop in Landover, so I'll be coming from P.G. county. It looks like the easiest way to get there is to take the beltway and get off at Rt 4. Just stay on Rt 4 as it becomes Rt 2 and I'm there. Is that right?

Also, my car is far (very, very far) from "show quality". Its in good condition for its age, but that's about the best that can be said for it. Should I plan on trying to park with the group, or should I park outside the show area?

Last question. Do you know how long the show is going to go on? My wife wants me to take her to the O's game Saturday night. Which means I'd probably have to leave no later than about 4:00.

Rt 2 and 4 are the same really. Just stay on Rt 4. It's not Speed Unlimited is it the shop, it's in a Food Lion shopping center with an Arby's , Ruby Tuesdays, and Autozone. Well, the show doesn't really get goin till 5pm. We will be there around 2, don't worry about it being show quality. Most of ours aren't. Look forward to seeing youi.

You're gettin of of 97 to 301 right? Well 301 is actually RT 3 before it becomes 301, and some guys are meeting at the McDs on RT3, search thru for the time.

 

Well, taking 301 to 3 to 301. I'll have to see about hitting the Mickey D's. Have to drop off the wife's wedding veil in Severna Park for preservation.
