sell 4th gen for 3rd

you guys made me miss me old bird well a friend of mine (poorboy u know joe ) 's friend has a mint iroc hes selling for 4 grand.

my current car - 1996 camaro RS base hard top w/ t tops and AC teal ground effects package

Problems: Needs clutch soon, power steering pump gone, front air dam broken up, small dent next to antenna (1 inch radius maybe, prolly less, smaller than the antenna holster) and could use a tranny mount while clutch is going in.

new items: just got new rear tires and put the old rear on front (still prolly 30-40% left), new waterpump and new driveshaft

almost 77,000 (76,678 or something)

would it be possible to sell my 4th gen for 4 grand or is it too messed up? i LOVE thirdgens, thats how i got int camaros, but i couldtn find anther, and this isnt even what i want but its gorgeous

87? camaro IROC 5.0 (we think) auto t tops all power dark green

kelley blue book says if it was in good condition it would be worth $7k...thats prolly a little high needing a clutch and power steering pump. i would say you can probably get $5k for it, but **** if all you want is $4k you shouldnt have a problem. if it were me id have a clutch put in and get a junk yard PS pump, then sell it in perfect condition for $7k

Dark GREEN '87??

There were no green colors available on IROC cars for the 1987 model year. I guess they must have changed colors somewhere along the way? It's pretty tough to do a color change and have it come out well. Got any pics or info on it yet? LB9 305 or LG4? Grab a pic of the RPO sticker if you can, that would be a big help! It should be in the console door.

I think you could score $4k out of your car without too much sweat. I would fix the front gfx, toss a clutch a P/S pump in it, give it a good cleaning/detailing and send it on it's way if that is what you want to do with it. I kinda like the late RS cars, though. IIRC, they were 96/97 only, right?

i dont know if it was 87, that was just a random year, i dont have that much info on the actual car.

96-97 were the only years for the "normal" headlights, 02-03 have an RS also

WOW, theres a 2003 f-body?????

also the 2002 RS was NOT factory

as for the green 87, i do believe in one-off factory colors...........there is a dark green 85-87 Z28 floating around my area.......color scheme looks factory :shrugs:

im not sure if they classified this last month of w/e as 03s but theres a kid on camarov6.com with his sig saying "2003 Camaro RS"

there are newer RS's, whether they came from SLP or w/e they arent all aftermarket parts

The car that rustang is referring too is a 92 RS TBI car w/ttops. The interior has been totally redone and fresh dark green paint has been applied and it has ghost flames on it. It also has some American Racing wheels that make the car stand out pretty well. I'm not sure on the mileage but its definately a nice clean car. The guy wants 4000 grand and I really dont think that is too much to ask for what has been done and how its been kept up!
