Just realized that it's too tough having three cars, and all of them are mediocre-horrible on gas mileage. Looking at selling two of our cars and getting a cheap commuter for my 80 mile/day commute. So, what do you think I could get?

'86 Sport Coupe, 305, auto, T-tops, Z28 wheels. Bare options. The only options I can find are the automatic and the remote hatch release on the console. 91K miles, dark red color, red interior. Top of car has some very faded paint. Has an exhaust leak that just came up on a 400 mile weekend trip, actually sounds like a hanger got loose, like the pipe is rattling against the car at low rpms. A/C was converted to R134a, but the compressor has a slight leak. Shop determined that, we just decided to let it go, since summer was ending. That's the only problems I know with it.
[edit:] Oh, and it was MD inspected and passed MD emissions in June

It's too bad. I really enjoyed this car. My truck is not practical at all for a commuter (or a regular driver), and this car was quick and got the best gas mileage out of all our cars.

 

$1200 maybe....

 

More than I was thinking Figured it wouldn't be high enough to justify listing it on eBay.

 

post it for sale locally, maybe get lucky if you got time to let it sell
