Good Hampton Roads 3rd gen mechanics

Can anyone in Hampton Roads, VA recommend the best dealership for third gen service? I've got a good mechanic, but he's a small operation and I may have some work beyond his scope. Who's the best dealership around here, in your opinion?

Also, which shops do you recommend for 3rd gen computer diagnostic or engine swaps/remans?

Anyone to avoid? I'm in Norfolk. Thanks.

What kind of work are you looking at getting done? Is it performance oriented? If so then I would recommend www.smsva.com Otherwise I couldn't recommend a shop as I do all my own work.

BTW, Check out this website: www.sevencityracing.com

I need someone who can accurately diagnose computer probs. also, may want someone to install an aftermarket fuel gauge. I would try it myself but I need to remove my fuel tank to install a new sending unit and I don't have a garage or really the time to take on something like that.

down the road I may be interested in having a motor swapped in. I think I'd just go with a 305 TPI or look into a 350 TPI. Nothing more than that.

thanks for these links man.

What he said.. I can probably shoot the computer for ya. I just moved into the new (to me) house, so can't do anything in the garage yet. But then again, who am I to talk, I don't even have mine running around yet..

that is a distance, but for a big project like a motor swap I'd consider it. I'll keep him in mind. thanks for the recommendation.
