Passed emissions!! :)

threw the timing way down below the tab marks and unhooked the drivers side fan when i got their it was running around 230 degrees.

Hydrocarbons 220 Passed 99
Carbons Monoxide 1.20 Passed 0.45

the car had no power at all. it took forever to speed up and i tried going wot and it felt it was running half an engine, o well it passed thats all that matters. got home and moved the timing back up to 8. feels like normal again.

time for some more mods

Did they do the sniffer at idle or put it on the rollers?

They put mine on the rollers. Nothing worse than watching some ******** try and drive a stick that has no clue. Actually, what's even worse are the lucky dogs with OBDII cars. No sniffer, just plug into the ECM, the ECM tells emissions everthings OK, and off you go (even if you've modded the **** out of your car) thanks to programs like LS1edit.

I'm guessing you went through all of this due to lack of a cat?

They put mine on the rollers. Didn't pass the 1st time last year. After some tweaking, it passed fine.

I'll get to do it all over again in '06.

Seems those workers at the emissions station love to make my tires bark a little.
