Hi guys, my offer for a house in Charles County, MD was accepted the other day and we will be closing the first week of June. I am not from MD so I need to make sure I understand the emissions/inspections crap.

I have 2 older cars that I can register as classics so I don't have to go through all that (they get driven very very rarely).

My other car in question is a 2003 Mercury Marauder. It doesn't look like Charles county is one of the counties that is an emissions county. Does that mean the 2003 does not have to be emissions checked at all (OBD2, sniffer, visual, etc) as long as I live in this county?

Thanks

Steve

Ok I finally found it: MD requires emissions inspections in:

Counties Requiring VEIP Inspections *

Anne Arundel County
Baltimore City
Baltimore County
Calvert County
Carroll County Cecil County
Charles County
Frederick County
Harford County
Howard County Montgomery County
Prince George’s County
Queen Anne’s County
Washington County

I knew my brother did not have to go through emissions in Easton, MD (whatever county that was) so I was confused. Thanks
