2 1/2 months and counting. Starting to get restless waiting for it. Who all's cruisin down this year?

 

I missed last spring, but made it to fall. Hopefully this year I can go in the spring.

I mean, the cops are definetely out. I saw a Ford Maverick pulled over outside our room for a good half hour last year, still have no idea what he did to get in trouble. We had cops hangin outside our room most of the day saturday. They're wise to 19th street, but it just comes down to being careful. I did a couple burnouts down at our hotel last year and thankfully didn't get nailed. If you're just driving and don't give them a reason to pull you over, you'll be fine.

We all need to meet up somewhere and get our cars together. Would be cool to have our own section near one of the cruisin spots.

I only go to Spring Cruise. Going to have my 4th gen down this year again, the 3rdgen needs way to much work body and paint wise, still runs decent. I even passed emissions with it this was the last year, next time it will have historic tags.

Was just down in OC for St Patty's Party. I am getting excited for the cruise!

 

i will be going in the fall. have too much stuff to do in may. but october is very cool. not as many cops. and its alot more laid back and calm instead of crowded and nutz

 

Booked the room on Saturday. Will be down there thurs-sunday. You'll be able to find me sitting on the 4th floor balcony of the Spinnaker yellin at people to do burnouts. Cant wait!!!!

 

what day is the oc cruise in october? i might go down can't make the may one because of being deployed to afghanistan. well let me know i live in delaware now with my 82 Z28 Camaro i should have paint and a few things done before then.

 

are you joining the convoy down? should be a lot of cars meeting before the bay bridge this year. just dont get pulled over again.

yeah do u guys go thru delaware to get to oc or do u go a different route. i have never been to the oc Cruise so it will be my first time well let me know the dates for october. i have never been pulled over yet in my car. knock on wood

 

What time do they usually meet on thursday b4 the bridge?

 

we usually meet around 11 and leave around 11:30. lots of camaros, trans am, mustangs. we should have a good turn out this year.

 

def some of the best times down there, i live right on 50 and get to see most of the cars go by so hit me up on the way down and ill bring out the maro

 

Downtown bars? I'm down. There's a place on the boardwalk and 2nd street called Mug & Mallet. $1 drafts before 4pm... $2 drafts after 4pm. Sweet deal and the food is pretty good.

Yeah I should be able to cruise with. One of the people that should be riding with me might not get off work til late (I really hope he don't) so I might get stuck driving down later in the day. As long as everything works out then yeah I'm down.

And uh, yeah, I'll be sure to get gas before I leave town this time. $160 and one point later I learned my lesson.

 

 

Sooo any ideas for a meet-up? I know all the 4th gen people always have meets but they would for the most part dwarf us third-gen folk. Which parking lots aren't taken up by classics, 4th gens or pony packs? I really wanna make this happen.

 

121th street has a pretty big parking lot that is always empty. It's the shopping center with SuperFresh. I'll be there if we can get enough interest.

 

I think there was a classics show there on Saturday last year, but I'm not sure. Either way it was only on the north side of the lot, the rest was fairly empty. I like it.

 

The 45th street village has some good parking. Also there is some good spots n the 94th st superfresh lot (i think thats what is there) I definitely would be down for meeting up and cruisin

 

just got back from oc, 5th floor at the spinnaker (one of the best places to stay in OC ImO) ill prob be down a day or two for the cruise in

I'm gonna be dodging the bullet here. Just got all my parts together and I think im gonna try and get it all together before I leave. I have a month, I should be able to get it done.

I'm in. How's noon sound? 9+ third gens in one place for cruisin week is almost unheard of. The pony packs won't know what to think.

And yeah, I thought better of trying to tear my car apart and put it back together in 3 weeks. I'm not gonna risk snappin a bolt off in the block or somethin and bein stuck drivin a busted honda CRV down there.

6 more days. i look forward to the firsdt annual third gen meet. marc, you still meeting up with us at the wawa at 11 am. we got c5 vette, '10 gt500, '10 camaro, '00 ss, ,99 ss, and couple mmore. should be a good cruise down.

 

also forgot, i ll be bringing my camera, so i need to get some cool burnouts on there!!! you're at the same place right?

 

Yeah I'm still meeting up. If anything changes I'll let you know. We'll be stayin at the same place again this year. I won't be doing any burnouts though I don't think; if you did the lincoln's head test with my rear tires, I'd fail miserably haha. Always a good show on 19th street though
