New from Martinsburg, WV
Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. First off, I do not own a 3rd gen. I actually own a 4th gen. I wanted to join this forum to interact and socialize with fellow Camaro enthusiast in my area (Martinsburg, WV). I am the Founder of the Genuine Muscle Camaro & Firebird Club, which was formerly the Eastern Panhandle Camaro Association. I hope to use this board as a way to connect with more enthusiast as well as stay up to date with regional events as well as keep you all in the loop with events our Club is hosting. If anyone wants more info on our Club, you can visit our website here: http://www.genuinemuscle.org/
Now for what you all really want to know... what do I drive...
Little back story.. I used to have a black, 2000 Camaro Z28. On a trip to Atlantic City, while traveling in a pack of cars on the freeway in NJ, I hit a front wheel hub assembly off of a truck. There was nothing I could do to avoid it. The damage to the drive train and under carriage was beyond repairable, and it was totaled. I decided than, I would search until I found my unicorn,.. a White, 2001 Z28 with the RS Kit. Why a 2001,... because that year they only produced around 25,000 total Camaros or about half as many as any year prior and after. This makes this year alone collectible just because there are half as many out there. I have always loved the white with the rs kit. After searching the entire US for 5 months, I finally found one... perhaps the only one configured and optioned this way from 2001... Most white V8s were either made into SS models, or if they were a standard Z28, did not have the ground effects... so I know mine has to be one of a very few from this year.
The previous owner had already installed a full exhaust, air lid, and done some work on the trans. He also had it tuned.
Modifications:
- SLP Headers
- SLP Catted Y-Pipe
- SLP Loudmouth I Exhaust

The theme I am going with is a Heritage Edition theme. I want this car to pay homage to the styles and ideas of Camaros and Muscle/Pony cars of yester year. I am shooting for a sleek and subtle look that has a few items that show the theme immediately, while others take a closer, more noticeable eye to catch. While I am going for this theme, I want to stay true to what the car is,.. a 4th Generation Camaro, and not try to make it a throwback model. Items such as the rims and shift **** are just two examples of what I mean. It will take me a few years to complete the entire car the way I want, including the engine, but it will tie together quite nicely when it is all said and done.

I have an appointment lined up for window tinting and am also working on a custom painted SLP Grill insert. Here is a prototype of how the grill will look:

Re: New from Martinsburg, WV
Welcome aboard. I'm willing to over look the fact you don't own a 3rd gen. Lol. I'm from the Romney area and will be trying to organize some cruises this spring and summer. If interested give me a shout.
