Just saying hello

Hi all

I am from the milwaukee area and I am new to the board. Was ready to sell my bird then happened across this board and it kinda has rejuvenated me to working on it again.
What I do for a living is I am a manufacturing engineer/programmer. I have access to quite a few pieces of equipment for fabricating.
My cars nothing special just a stock bird with a 305 .
Wish I had a 350 tpi after reading so much up on a 305.
But she's been a good engine to me and until she blows no swaps for me. My car going to need some body work but until the old ladys done with college its not going to happen. I thought about coming to 3rd generation fest but my car Justs looks so crappy compared to all the ones I have seen on these boards.
I envy you folks with the time and money. .

Hey dan
It all takes time. Cars dont get restored by WISHIN they get there by WORKIN on them. Start throwing some cash in jar and start plannin your attack. As for the FEST, bring the car down we need cars to look at. Who knows maybe you will meet someone that has a part you need for cheap or nothin.
We'll see you there.

I envy people with enough resolve not to spend every penny they earn on their toys. At least your priorities are strait.

Welcome!!! Dont worry too much about how the car looks. My car is currently 3 different colors with the wrong spoiler on it. It may not get painted till after the gathering, but I still plan on trying to make it. At the very least there will be people there who may be able to give you pointers on how to go about fixing it up.
