Yea i am a member on there but i never bother to post anything. All the do is talk crap to one another about racing and never do anything about it. It is really annoying that most of them think they have the fastest ****, but they are really just internet bada**es.

kcsr.org, a local kansas city racing board has ppl that are the same way. If I even mention I have a camaro, I get flamed.

I posted a startup video i made of my freshly built LG4, and the FIRST response was from someone I dont know, posted an image of a cartoon r3dn3ck with a mu||et.

Why do ppl think camaro owners have mu||ets? Granted, I've lived in cali almost all my life and there are not many mu||ets to see, but I have not yet seen a mu||et man driving a camaro.

I've seen them drivng Nova's though. Whats the deal man? Thats ok, cause the first one to say anything like that to my face will find himself face to face with my brass knucks.

LOL. Brass knuckles fits right into the stereo type of either having a ****** or being a greaser.

It's the same thing as all the import stereo types that all of you guys spout off about on here all the time.

i'm on that board all the time. yes we're all fast talkers and racers, that's why it's chitownRACING. that board isn't for tech help or advice it's for buying/selling parts or cars and talking smack. Setting up races, etc. No one is your friend on there typically until you meet up with some of us. That's how it is at the track too. Just so you know a lot of those people are experiencing cabin fever right now since it's too cold to race, so they act like dicks. Just how it goes....also i have the same name on that board too if in doubt.

Its the internet- could be a real live a-hole or someone jerking you around or whatever. There are people out there like that.

I am on that site- pretty much strictly for the video links. It is a good place to get the DL on what is happening at GreatLakes Dragaway.

In my opinion, that site doesn't have enough focus on any one thing to be of much use- to me anyway. But some of the videos are good.

I imangine xpndbl3 is right on in his observation, particularly what with cabin fever and all.

I wouldn't bother getting too workedup about any insults, cutdowns, etc.. anyone passes over the internet. If they really have a hair up their azz and want to tell you eye to eye, solve the problem at that time.

You'd be suprised how open-minded and accomodating people can be (in person) when they are staring down the barrel of a good stomping out in the real world.

I go on there every now and then. I know some of those a_____es and I love to see them get put in there place when they post there dumb racing videos and try to talk like they have something they don't.

I have to agree that the camaro and firebird seem to have the ****** name when I can't think of one driver with a ******. now other cars.. (not bashing but, have seen alot of) montecarlo SS, malibu, dodge cars and now the import cars too. besides in all the old movies and shows they always showed the old f-body's with the ****** drivers (75-81)

If you really want to get them going you tell them that there woman likes your ****** and how she runs her fingers through your hair when you and her are getting real close and well you get the idea

you sound pretty cocky as well on that posting. everyone is just razzing you nothing out of the ordinary at all. there is no brand loyalty on that site at all, and calling out people when you're not in the same league won't help at all. That's just how those guys are, don't get your feelings hurt. You're about 20 grand behind most of the big players in mods at least so they grow big heads

I have to admit to laughing at the ChiTown post. They are brutal, no question.

That is something important to know, as Jakal points out in the CTR post, from what I see, they don't care much about the brand as they do its ability to race. It is a pretty diverse group over there. And a brutal group. Comically brutal (****** ******? cripes, that is worth the price of admission right there).

I am still laughing at the quote Jakal has in his sig.

Anywho, just like anything, don't let if affect you. They did, after all, answer your original question. They were quite nice until you took a poke at DSM and then the DSM guys lit in. Just trying to represent themselves. Thats something you won't see much of here because its all Camaro. When we get really bored, TPI guys rip on TBI guys, etc... Comes back around to xpndbl's cabin fever comment.
At the end of the day, its all about what you can actually lay down.

I really hope you guys really got off on makin fun of me. the only reason im not out on the streets makin u guys look like idiots is because im a 17 y.o. kid that has to pay for gas, insurance, and the initial purchase of the vehicle on a part time after school job pay check.

I think you blew your cover on being a 7 sec car with that post. I wouldn't take it 2 personaly. Your going to have to get used to the ****** status of the f-body. Just like the dsm guys have the fast n furious status. It's all just **** talk and you posted on a street racing forum not an enthusiast forum so you will have to expect some flames.

When you can pay to play it's all good fun.

LMAO! I just realized m-u-l-l-e-t was a sensored word on this forum, thats great.

lol

Chitown racing.

should just be called clownschool racing :-)

they both accomplish the same thing. Amusement.

Although I love seeing the occasional 6mth bull#$!%@^$ing match online and then they might actually race.

Oh well.

Been a member there for a long time, just dont ask me what it is as I dont waste much time there anymore.

I will give the classifieds props there, u can find some good stuff if your first in line.

later

I visit that site often. Its a RACING site....and if you think that most of the **** talk is just talk, think again. It may not be as serious as the smack talk on SBP but theres some races that get down. I know Ive seen some nasty *** cars from chicago get down and even a local guy get down p there with some ChiTown boys.

Its the Internet guys......NOT serious.....I tlak **** on a local board and peopel get bent out of shape. I then laugh at them with others and then, well, the mods are all butt buddies so one gets mad, the other gets mad......so sad.

again, THE INTERNET IS NOT, I REPEAT NOT, SERIOUS BUSINESS!!!
