Ohio Third Gens?
Hey, all. My name is Josh and I used to own a 1989 Camaro. I'm currently in the market for a 3rd gen and have it narrowed down to two possible projects.
#1: 1990 Camaro RS - comes with a v6 and auto trans that I would DEF have to swap out both. Body work is needed but not brutal. Has t-tops and decent interior. The worst thing about this car is that it looked like the floorboard had a good bit of rust from the pictures I took underneath the car. Owner is asking for $500.
#2: 1985 Trans Am - has a 305 and 700r4 trans with a promatic shifter. Body work needs more attention, but still isnt hateful. VERY clean underside of car in regards to rust. Interior is in better condition and the car comes with numerous sets of ground effects and both sets of taillights (ridges and smooth). Owner is asking $750.
I think both owners can be talked down some and I know which way I'm leaning but I still havent made a final decision. Let me know what you think! Thanks!
PS. Is there a forum for us Ohio 3rd gens?

the camaro looks cooler but the 85 ta deff seems like a better deal on account of not needing as much work but what do you expect for 500 bucks Thread Starter

Thanks for the comments! I went with the T/A... I got it for 500.

It DOES need body work, like I said, but the underside is almost free of rust and I know body work and figured it'd be easier to learn the ins and outs of v8 engines on a working one that I can build up rather than slapping a pre-built setup into a car.
