Anyone in the Saint Louis area? Preferably Illinois side? Need help on my transmissio

Got an 89 RS. 190K miles on the trans and time to replace. Got a transmission that is supposedly working for cheap and I need a place to put it in. I dont have a lift or a pit and dont feel like laying in the dirt and snow.

Im off til the first week in January. I go to Ranken Tech in STL.
Id like to get the transmission put in by then.
Hopefully someone local as I dont have insurance and dont want to drive it far

Thanks

Sorry I dont have the garage space to offer. What program are you in at Ranken. If you are not in the automotive(or if you are) you should talk to Dan Kania the automotive department head. He runs the line shop. This is 4th semester students that work in the school shop. SInce you are a student it would cost like 10 bucks an hour, on a flat rate basis. Flat rate time on the trans in 3rd gen is like, 4 hours, maybe 4.3 or so. Cheap work. Tell him Levi from Green Toyota says hi. He'll know me.

Congratulations, its a great school, thats for sure. you may want to consider that option though, its really cheap, the work is good, and its all supervised by the teachers who are ALL ASE Master Auto Technicians.

I wonder if the car will even make it there.
The transmission noise is getting increasingly worse
