anyone know of a good cheap machine shop to get my heads milled and block compression tested.... i can only find one and there way expensive i could buy new heads cheaper than there price just to look at them. thanks for the help

 

I have personally used Arnolds Motor Supply in Ankeny and Midstate Machine, I have had good luck with both, although I have never had any head work done at any of them just block work.

 

I have used Arnold's and Midstates also, Both do good work. There is also a JR Motorsports here in Ankeny that would probably be another good place to try. Good luck.

I live up by clear lake/mason city. The arnolds up here did my block and heads and did a great job. Sounds like they do pretty decent work down there to. I went to a shop in west des moines that did a lot of decent custom work, I cant remember what the name of the shop was though! I want to say it was near the five and dine.
