I've had my car a year now. I was wondering what was the closest 1/4 mi track to me, and how much the cost was. Thanks.

I live in your area... I've raced at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI many times. Not the best track, but it's not too expensive. I think $20 for racers, $10 for spectators. It's probably just over an hour from you. If you go on a weekday, you can get at least 8 runs in under 4 hours. In my expirience anyway...

I've been to: Byron is close to Rockford, Rt 66 is in Joliet. There's a Cordova racetrack too, but I don't know where that is. Don't know prices for racing at those ones.

yup, GLD and Rt 66 but you better be perfectly in the rules when it comes to tech at Rt66, they are really tough. GLD is getting better, they have new owners and are trying to make things better

Man i sneak though tech at 66 all the time. I dont have a battery tie down and im sure there is other things I could get caught for. As long as your not too fast they arent that bad. Start hitting low 13's high 12's im sure they start looking though. Running at 66 is an awesome experiacne. Even if you only get 2 runs a night its still cool as hell. Ill be there a lot this summer.

Cordova is northwest corner of illinois. I hear it is really nice now that it has been completly redone.
