Anyone going to the Power Tour at Route 66?
I was wondering if anyone was going to go to Route 66 May 4th for the power tour? I am going up with a local car club and I am hoping to see some other 3rd gen's there. I guess it starts at 2pm and goes till 9pm.

I have given it some thought. I haven't checked into the schedule as of yet. Are they only going to be at Rt 66 raceway the one day?

89rsvert, did we meet at a car show in Troy Grove? The description in your sig looks very familiar. I had the blue 84 if that was you.

Yes I did meet you at the troy grove show.
I am leaving from Peru IL. at noon with a car club called the blood, sweat, and gears. It is probably about an hour and 15 minutes from the track. I hope to get a few more buddies to go with from Peru. I did the local car show thing last year, and other then meeting cvpde, I haven't seen many third gen's out. If anyone is close to Peru, drop me a line and we can head out as a group. It is Friday May 4th, and it runs from two o'clock till nine. If you check out www.bloodsweatandgears.com they have alot of info on other central Illinois cruises. Hope to see you there.

Hmmmm....I might head up to the track that day, but I probably won't be joining the cruise since I'll be shooting up from the South (the track is 13.2 miles from my driveway).
If It's "Test & Tune" night, I'll definately be there.
I can, as of right now, make a whole day of Rt.66 since I have Friday Saturday and Sunday off that weekend.
After that, It's back to town to wreak havok with the local wannabes.
