Where can i race at the track?

Where can i race at the track?
I live in schaumburg, IL. Me and my freinds are tryin to find a place to race, but the closest one that we know of is three hours away in wisconsin at route 66. Please let me know if there are any tracks in the northern part of ILL

To begin with Route 66 raceway is in Joliet, IL not it wisconsin. There is also Byron Dragway and I believe Union Grove in southern wisconsin. Check over at www.mfba.org Most of the guys on that board are from your area and could probably help you out a little more than I can.

yep byron and route 66 are the only 2 around here, i allways wonder why they put then 1 way the hell up NW in the middle of nowhere with just cornfields around and the other way down south in the ghetto 
while most everyone there is in the chicago area, there used to be a drag strip in oswego, but it got shut down about 10 years ago i heard 
heres the link for the 2, im allmost postive 66 is closed for the year, but byron should still be open with the nice weather were having and its soppost to be in the 70's this saturday www.byrondragway.com www.route66raceway.com
