Since getting a third gen again last fall I'm excited to take it out to car shows and even for a road trip to Pontiac IL for their car show (http://www.pontiaccruisenight.com/).

I'm heading out to the Gilbert's car show tomorrow morning at 10:30am off 72 & Closed Galligan Rd.

Anyone know of other local Chicago area car shows going on this summer I should check out? I would go to South Barrington's car show on Wed nights yet I have a softball league during that time.

Would anyone be interested in going to Pontiac in June or July?

I am down for going to Pontiac sometime. I am in Berwyn. I am going to Thirdgen Expo over Memorial Day weekend which will be a blast as well.

Cool I'll see when others want to go down too so we can all meet up. I know my husband was interested in going when his coworkers Pontiac Fiero club goes down.

Darn we are road tripping to NJ Memorial Day weekend so we will miss the expo.

the one here in town where i live is on july 3rd every year in Roanoke Il and we get a really good turn out I can post more info when it gets closer for those that wanna know about it!

I'm close enough to Roanoke to make the drive. Pontiac is a little far to be enjoyable because my car is pretty miserable on the freeway.

It cannot be worse than mine!!!! and I've been to FL and many other places a lot ! 3.73 auto, rodend control arms, locker, cage and no AC

I don't know, I probably got you beat. I've got the rod end suspension including torque arm, no AC, no cruise, and an extremely stiff 800 lb/in spring rate. I can't drive slower than 20 mph because the clutch is too grabby. I wear ear plugs and the passenger side header rattles on the frame rail at random.

Sounds like this is the kind of competition where the winner is the loser.
