Hi all,
It's been a few years.
This winter I pulled the car out from it's cover and started actively fixing some of the problems that popped up over the years, such as the burned-out brakes from my 2008/2009 season of road course work, and fixing an oil pan / baffling problem, and other miscellaneous stuff.
This winter it was a complete re-do of the suspension, with new linkage, rebuilt power steering box and pump, new springs, shocks, struts, antiroll bars, etcetera.
Just yesterday I re-installed my FAST C/COM XFI software and peeked at the fuel injection system programming for the first time since the summer of 2007, and leaned everything out 10%. Last time I dyno tuned it, we didn't notice the failing alternator and the tune was accomplished at something like 11 volts. With good electrical power, the engine has been running rich. We'll see cutting the duty cycle by 10% improves things.
The tires.... Kumhos that I installed in January, 2009 - are hard and slippery, still have 75% of their tread, but make good tire smoke. The goal is to use them up over the next year and then buy a new set of wheels and tires: One of my ROH ZS wheels appears to be bent and there are NO replacements ANYWHERE in the world...
So , Hello again Michigan ---
