Laptop for sale
Ive got a laptop for sale that I have used for tuning. I have run TunerPro RT for ALDL scanning on it, as well as the Zeitronix wide band software. It also has WinALDL that works good.
The software is not what I am selling- everyone knows where to get it so please only ask questions about the laptop.
Its a Toshiba 430CDT and its in good shape physically. Its complete and running with windows 95. I could not get the latest version of Tunerpro 4.13 to run- I beleive its a win 95 thing. But the version in there works fine.
It has a 120mhz processor I believe, and probably 16mb of ram. The screen is nice and clear, I think it has one or two bum pixels. Sometimes with heavy use on a hot day if you close the lid from one side(slightly twisting it) the screen goes funny until you restart the computer. I just use it carefully and close from the middle and it works fine. When it boots, it says something like file not found while loading windows- then resumes booting and runs fine. It usually does a complete boot in about a minute or so, its not slow.
The keyboard works fine. It has one of those "eraser" looking mouse/pointers and it works fine. There is a serial port for using an aldl cable, and there are two PCMIA slots, probably a printer port and a port that connects to a chassis that houses a CD Rom drive. The floppy and CD rom are hot swappable, or you can have the both hooked up at the same time with one external. The battery is very good. I wont make any rediculous claims but it will hold a charge for at least a half hour, most likely alot longer. It has an A/C adapter included. There is no modem or CD's included. The software that is on it is what you get.
I am selling this because I just bought an Autoprom that is USB- and this laptop does not have a USB port.
I would like to get $85 plus shipping for it. Pics will be available soon just email me for some. Paypal accepted if you add $3, or send me a check and I will ship when it clears.
Sorry for the long post, I am just trying to be as honest as possible. Its a good running, good looking unit but it is old. I would not use it for daily computing but for ALDL scanning it works just fine.
