Last night I went to the track with my 88 TBI camaro for the first time in that car. I really wanted to see what the car is going to run before I take that engine out and put my old 350 in there. The 88 has 113,000 miles on the engine, a metal banging metal comming from the bottom end on the passanger side, a old k&n filter, and a even older Mac exhaust. Here is my best run of the night.

That was my best et time slip. My best 60' of the night was 2.437, my best Mph was 81.41, and my best R/T was 6.854. I am extreamly happy with these times considering how the car runs and the condition of the motor. What does everyone think? Next week the 86 come back and the 22 of June I'm going to mustang vs f-body and running. hoping for 11's with the NOS High 12's on motor

 

When the 86 comes back, will you be taking it out to the McDonalds that I keep forgetting to stop by at. Next time you are going down to E-town let me know. I want to take the car down and see what it runs.

 

Yes I will Hopefully when I go out there tomorrow my pops said he had something for me the last time i talked to him the clutch went in on wednesday and it was almost done. Do you know anyone with a Berlinetta that is like half blue in the front and half purple in the back and a big block stinger hood? I seen taht car last night at dunkin doughnuts. it was real quiet. Did you ever get your car painted? what color is it. i have been seeing way to many 3rd gens lately.

 

you're right, i've also been seeing a lot of third gens.... went to Whiskey Cafe last sat in my LS1....many 3rd gens and 4th gens were out....i was impressed

 

I finally got the car painted. It's blue. I would post pictures, but I wanted to polish my rims first this weekend. Unfortunately, the only person I really know with a camaro or even a thirdgen is me. But I have been seeing a lot of thirdgens recently. But then again I was good at finding 84 Buick Skylarks when I owned that car.

Well the 383 is in the car with the NOS setup. The car is getting a new preasure plate, a new clutch, and clutch fork and the car is done. I was told Wednesday the car will be done. So if it is I am going to pick it up on Wednesday night after work. If not then Thursday. For some reason I am going down to Atlantic City this weekend for the NOPI show. I am probably going to be the only domestic car there. Oh well I will be one of the faster cars there to so its all good. Lastnight comming back from wildwood on the parkway i seen a red maybe 89-91 RS with a really nice hood I havent seen with black stripes and a firebird wing. Well he past me at about 75 and i jumped behind him and started to gain on him after 110. it was so much fun. there were so many f-bodies down there this weekend it was crazy. So yes the 383 is in the car and it comes back verry soon. As for Nanuete I will probably be going up there sunday night.

hey thats kool as hell. hey u have to come by one day or even come to the local car show over here and enter ur car or just come and show it off. id like to see and hear that thing.

 

I'll definatly be going to as many car shows as I possibly can. And as for hearing and seeing that won't be a problem at all. I still have to put my Hooker Super Comp headers on and get a new carpet before I will be happier with the car. Then I need new seats and my system. The rims I could wait for a while. Just let me know where the car show is and I'll have me and a couple of friends come by. I'lll try to get my friend Jason with a 87 Iroc to go. He has a white pearl paint job and a 4 inch cowl hood. he ran a 14.1 in the 1/4 with 120k miles on his 350. He is also putting a 383 in his car but he is going a supercharger on top of that. Oh well. To end on a funny note. One of my friends has always had the fastest car out of the group he now has a 99 hardtop C5. Well he knows I am getting my car back and his brother just got a 2001 Cobra that has a couple of bolt ons. Well the cobra beat the vette both of them are sticks. So now the C5 is getting NOS so he could be fast again. This is comming from a kid that said he is not doing anything to the vette because it is to expensive. He is not doing any engine work just the 150 shot. he is running the stock air intake and exhaust. his only mod so far is Z06 side scoops and they arent even functional but he paid $704 to get them installed. OUCH. oh well we will see who is fast at the track when I put some miles on my car.
