Atlantic Ave in Lynbrook
Anyone from Long Island know if they are still doing the show there Thurs nights? I heard from someone at the track on Sat that it was packed last Thurs. I'll be in the area this week if the weather is nice so if anyone is in the area I'll be in my GTA and probrobly with a yellow TurboBuick(you cant miss that)

My fathers friend told me about that too and I was thinking of going. What time do you plan on going? I'm in Bellmore too so maybe if the time works out we could meet up and cruise in at the same time. I guess it's just a drive in type show/hang out? Where is it exactly?

It's on Atlantic just off Sunrise Hwy(by the White Castle), they close off about 2-3 blocks of Atlantic or at least thats how it was last year and yeah it's a drive in/hang out type of thing. The weather looks to be ok for Thurs so I hope to get there around 4:30pm. From what I heard it was pretty packed last week.

We'll once again I didn't make it. I'm really going to try to make it next time.
My car is a silver '86 Z28 but I don't drive it everyday. Come to think of it....I hardly drive it all. I have to start driving it more. I'm sure we'll meet up somewhere sometime if we haven't already.

Sorry you didnt make it ryn28. Goumba T it was a pleasure meeting you and I hope we will meet up again, sorry about being a slowpoke on the way home. With no overdrive I tend to just cruise a little slower rather than stress the motor for no reason. Anyway it was a nice night and a decent turnout with some cool cars showing up.
For anyone looking to head over there next Thurs they dont close the street and start the show till 6pm(though there were cars already there when I showed up at 5pm)and it runs till a little after 9pm.

I just opened her up when I hit the Belt for other reasons. Besides it was probably the only chance I'd ever have to take you -- by catching you off-gaurd.

Talk about disrespect
Well, tonight was a first.
Quite a few people said I didn't belong there... despite all of the Fox chassis Mustangs, 97+ Corvettes, and a Maserati TC (wow a Chrysler made Masteri, how special) a Third Gen TA has no place in a car show according to some people there.
One guy even went as far as to say "What the hell do you think you're doing here? That's not a classic." When I pointed out I was parked between two '04 Vettes, he simply said "Don't matter, they're Corvettes and are welcome here."
I promptly left, and with more class than people there showed with their comments... not a squeal of the tires, kept the revs low.
I guess the hobby is becoming less of what the person puts into it and more of how much money you spend on it.

Whoa whoa, let's not take what I said the totally wrong way. I wasn't kicked out. I was however made to feel unwelcome. I just left instead of staying any longer and dealing with that crap.
And it wasn't just the organizers, but the "spectators" too.
However, if you stay in the back (the part of Atlantic Ave under the LIRR where you get the lime from concerete dropping on your car), you're alright. Then again that's where they stick the r i c e r s too.

Yeah what sucks is that I'm not off weekends. I'm off Wed and Thurs and it seems I can't find any decent shows. Before I started working (about 3 1/2 yrs ago), it was easy to find a show every night.
