Hi From NH

About 2 months ago I bought an 84 z-28, and i've been puttering with restoring all the crap the previous owners did (or didn't) do to it.

Right now my big question is the rear defogger. i've got power to the switch, i've got the hot line back to the left side (although clip has deteriorated), i've got the ground (same issue over there with the clip).

my question is there is a portion of the defogger grid that has a separate clip on it, does this have it's own wire or does it just hook in to the clip at the top of the hatch?

oh, and from what I am able to gather, the hatch is not stock for my car, as i do not have a berlinetta yet i have the overhead tail light.

any feedback would be appreciated, thanks

Re: Hi From NH

An 84 would not have a 3rd brake light period, so your hatch is probably from another car. as far as the clip you are talking about, pictures would help.

Re: Hi From NH

I'll Post a picture in the morning, and I figured that the hatch was from a newer model, there are a number of parts on this car that don't match up to options available at the time...

Come spring I will be at the car show at arnies in concord almost every week if you need any help with the car. I've had my 90 z28 for several years now and I'm currently restoring an 88. I can also refer you to some good places within driving distance to get parts if you need them.

Re: Hi From NH

sorry this post took so long, the last few days kind of sucked for free time.

The pictures aren't the best... i'm thinking i'm just going to try linking it to the existing good wiring and see what happens...

Where can we get parts up here in NH? I know about the place in Tilton, but would like to hear of any others out there. The more the better.

Thanks

Re: Hi From NH

To dig up an old thread, is it a call Don ahead of time type of thing or strictly show up and get what you need?

I usually text him what I need then meet him the next day with the parts already taken off. Everything I have gotten from him has been exactly what he said it was and sold at a great price.
Buy with confidence.

I believe he has the cars in his yard so he may not want someone walking around there without him present. He always responds to a call or text so best thing is to ask him directly.
