Hey gang - I just can't muster up the guts to cut holes into my 88 GTA front fenders to install the fender vents I recently purchased. I know trying to get them flush with the fender will just be a bit beyond my capabilities. Can anyone here recommend a QUALITY and reliable body shop in Northeast PA (between Easton and Stroudsburg). I'd even be willing to drive into Northern NJ if the referral was a solid one. Thanks everyone.

Hi, I take all my vehicles to "924 auto exchange". 5 miles south of Hazleton. The owner is a perfectionist. His company is mainly for Cadillacs, but he does friends cars, and friends of friends cars. Computerized paint match too.

For the amount of money someone will charge you, you better off just buying Trans Am fenders and save your GTA fenders if you ever want to return the vehicle to stock. Lining up the fenders is a breeze, just don't lose any factory shims, and be sure to mark all your areas. Piece of cake...

I agree with street lethal too.
A deer ran into my driver fender, on my 96 Lumina. Stuck its tongue out at me, and ran off. I went to my local U PULL IT, and as my luck was good that day... same car, same exact color. Easy off, easy on. Money saved. Good Luck, if thats the way you go.

you know i've thought of that myself as well. I just figured it would end up costing more to find the fenders, get them in good shape, and paint them. Perhaps I'm wrong. I'll research this a bit further. But tell me - did the vent hole size change over the years? E.G. if I get an 84 fender with the air extractor holes, are my newly purchased vents (meant for use with ground effects) the same size as the hole itself? I know the vent itself looks different from earlier models, but I'm asking about the hole it fits into. Thanks.

Decided to get a new (used) set of fenders. Some holes just need to be welded up...and the whole fender painted. LIDNR - I tried your guy and they won't take it. No reason given. Anyone have other suggestions for PAINT shops in the Monroe County PA area? Again - I'm looking for SHOW QUALITY here...not the average body / collision shops. Thanks.

Thanks LIDN. Ironically today I'm taking the fenders to another shop nearby that came recommended. Hopefully they do a good job.
