UK Member needs Help!!

Hi guys as the title suggests im from the uk, i used to own a 3rd gen camaro, and now wish i never sold it!, i want another.

Problem is over here it is very slim pickings, and they are all rust buckets. so looking to fetch one from the states. i have imported before and use a shipping company in new york so all that is fine.

My problem is convincing people in the states that im not trying to scam them. as soon as i mention im in the uk, they tell me to get lost.

So basically im on here asking for any help, two reasons really, hoping that if i can find a car that i want that maybe a member on here might be willing to check it out for me? i would pay of course, but that way i get an unbiased opinion of the car and also it might add a little weight to me being a genuine person?

Would anyone be up for that at all?

On a side note even though im after a third gen for me, i am looking at the possibility of shipping more cars over, so if there is someone out there fairly technically minded this may turn in to a regular thing.

thankyou

pete

Welcome to TGO. Hope you can hook up with someone with the time/knowledge to help you. A major point here is that many Northern parts of the country have harsh Winters and salt the roads so many of the cars from there are rust buckets too. Best is to find cars from dry areas.
