Can you wrench?
Regardless a spun bearing is good news in a 305.
It's an excuse to drop in a 350!

what kind of 305 is it LG4, L69, or LB9
if its everything then I would get it but if the guy is gonna put in a 350 then you will most likely be getting a long block in need of a rebuild and wouldn't be worth it

That sounds like a better deal as long as the engine runs good and doesn't need so much work. What do you mean by a little tlc?

As long as the body is straight (have it checked out to be sure) you're good to go.
Sounds like a much better find than the 305. What does he want for it?

As everyone said so far, smokin deal sounds like. I would buy it if it's all good as you say. Good luck, and for sure get some pics up when you can.
