id say that i sparked a pretty big advancement in everyones engine bay

with most of the nor cal thirdgenners with heads and cam on the way now, everyone atlest with some big mods id say its time for a west coast shoot out to see whos the fastest

anyone down?

personally, your a dummy if you dont like cheap power.

i ran nitrous and loved every bit of it, till i sold it for my intake manifold.

im not against nitrous at all, but i prefered more permanent mods for now. when im all done, ill put it back on though, you guys can count on that

Personally i rather have all the HP i can get via bolt ons, cam/ECM/Head/Exast/Igntion, ive never could figure out why you would want to have just a temp boost of HP... besides ive always thought NOS was illegal in some states, so i try to keep away from the stuff.

nitrous is illegal just like ANY other bolt on. -read the fine print.

its ok to be hooked up as long as the bottle is empty and isnt hooked up.

-race use only-

when your motor is built to what you want, why not add a final touch?

N20 is as illegal as a front liscence plate to me.

E-Train you know I'd be up for it, but I want to get a chip and swap these injectors so I can keep up with the pink fairy lol.

lemme get the heads and cam on there and i'll come smoke you all

theres a vid floating around of the cam I want, passes smog and pushes LT1s to 11.7's with heads that flow 250 cfm intake.. mine will flow 275 GAHAHAHA

Makin some money this weekend, so I figure I'll drop those heads by the machine shop next week.

firebreed why do you contridict your self in your other post you were talking about bolt on power wanted more power for your v6, but than said you wanted to stay stock.

and in my opinion nitrous is great for cheap power for a race not as a regular power adder. just the icing on the cake.

Really its how i feel at the time that i post or if i have been to a car show recently, mostly i want a combination of both, I want a stock look, with some bolt ons, i forgot what post it was in, but i stated that i wanted a car that looked stock, but had more hp then it did when it came out of show room (maybe not in those words, but thats what im out to do).

what useally happenes is i buy something for an idea i have, and use it.. the next week if i dont like it.. i keep it on... cause i'm to lazy to take it off, unless it causes some major problems

So when do you think this would happen? I picked up a SuperRam last week to bolt on my IROC, but need to wait to put it on until the weather cools off some....I could bring the RS up ...neither would run close to being the "fastest", but it'd still; be fun and the wife has been bugging me to "take it to the track".

Maybe Mid-late September when it cools off some?

I certainly would not run a non world class through a posi rear with slicks on a STOCK shifter, but thats just me.

T5's aren't so bad guys.

But, IMO you need a shifter with stops Jess, bad.

Eric, sounds like a sweet idea. I am down once I get my X-Ram, which will be a while, but it's all good, at least we would know who is faster for now. Besides, I know I wouldn't be that fast but it would be fun, plus I would like to know what my car can do. Everyone needs to hurry up and get there cars done, are you shooting for September?

Are you talking about amongst yourselves, or you want to challenge others, too? I've been trying to put together another GM Shootout like we had at Famoso in 1999, 2001, and 2002, but lately there have been no sponsors and not enough interested parties to have an event in 2003, 2004, or 2005. I even created a website http://www.gmshootout.org/ but I let it get neglected, and then I never rebuilt the message board after it got hacked.
