Help! Need 700r4 *nor cal/bay area*!!!

Hey everyone. My 700r4 in my 85 z is starting to die on me. Just tonight it started making noises and i'm slowly losing 1st gear. I knew this day would come... I hate this transmission so much, its given me so much s*** im almost glad to see it go.
I was wondering if anyone in preferably the bay area or nor cal has a 700r4 they want to get rid of for cheap or free lol. im really strapped for cash (college) but i love my thirdgen. maybe even a t-5 swap if again, anyone out there has one at a good price. Jus lookin for better than dead condition.

If you want to rebuild that one, I can do that for you. If you're interested let me know - we can work something out.

As for a whole tranny, I can get a new one at a great price (compared to MSRP...) but if you're REALLY strapped for cash, go pull a pick 'n pull one on half price day for like $40 bucks. No guarantees it'll work though

Three letters for you - PNP

If you get an exchange policy you can at least get another one. You could actually find a 700R4 there compared to 5spd = scarce.

Well i was hoping it would last longer, but it is now officially dead. Just got home with the tow truck. I wish it wouldve gone out in some kind of explosion or bang, but i just started free revving on the freeway in all gears.

Anyways, im probably going to go the PNP route because im just going to sell this car anyways, but ill talk to you, urbanhunter. Just wondering if anyone out there has one before i go and pull one.
