overheating

Axle/Gears: DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT CAMAROS
overheating
the radiator was just replaced 4 months before.it over heats.i turned the heater and it quit stemaing.i drove it for 5 miles and it was ok.the fan does not come on.is it the thermostat sensor. or could the fam not working actually make it over heat that bad..

in 84 is it electric or still clutch? if its electric, its possible the fan switch, or the fan motor, if u want, unplug the fan from its relay and run two wires from the plug directly to the battery, if that kicks the fan on, its probably the fan switch i believe located in the cylinder head ?

Mine runs warm in the summer months. (220+ in town) I'm gonna do some mods as to when the fans come on and get my headers Jet-Hot ceramic coated. I added a Griffin Alum. radiator and 3" cowl hood already. Good luck tracking it down. What temp. thermostat are you running? Waterpump? Daniel U
