Already getting ready...
Clean the paint, polish, wax with orbital buffer. Looks like rain tomorrow. A little fiberglass and paint and she'll be ready. I hope I'm lucky enough to get the top installed in time.

All I've done recently is add a sucky CAT on instead of the straightpipe, as I have to smog it this week. grrrr.
So she'll be nice and sluggish w/ that and the high elevation.
I won't do any other mods, just detail her up the week before.

Well more hp is never a problem. What do you dyno @ the rear wheels? I'm guessing I'm somwhere near 200 at best.

So I'm not to far off then. I'm sending my headers(RU QWIK's old ones) to Jet Hot as soon as I get clearance from the wifee. I think if they(Jet Hot) do as much as they say, I should notice lower under hood temps and intake temps. If I'm real satisfied, I might get the intake done as well, who knows. They quote almost 300 degree difference, according to the article......

Got my wheel bearings finished today and took it for a driver after 2 days of looking at it sitting with no axle shafts in it.The popping sound is gone and so is most of the vibe. Now for the polishing and shampooing the rest of the interior.I think I'll still wet sand and buff to the best of this paints ability.I had it idling to warm up while I cleaned up a bit and one of the guys down the street who sees me working on it every friggin weekend pulled up and was bs'ing about it.He loved the way it sounded, said it sounded like a strong 350, gave some other props and was on his way.Makes ya feel good when somebody else notices the work done and appreciates it.My wife hates it.

I always love when people ask me "Is it for sale?"

I always reply "Do you see a For Sale sign on it?"

Jet Hot sounds like an amazing product. I can't wait to see if it helps with the headers/underhood temps. I think the exhaust leak is one of my problems.

Funny how you get diff. #'s from diff. places.
I've seen 1.6F and 1.3R too, but according to Summit, the Sportlines:
"These Eibach Sportline springs slam your vehicle anywhere from 1 3/4 in. to 2 1/4 in."
Pro's are universally 1" it seems.

wierd. im thinking about the pro-kit for my new little project, it drops 1.2" in the front, 1" in the rear. the sportlines are 1.7 and 1.5. imo that's too much.

I think with these wheels it will look pretty good. Some I've seen are to low but I need another 1/2 - 1" to fill the well in a little better.

Well the springs are going to have to wait a few weeks. My axle shafts are bent so I have to go pick up some Mosers tomorrow.I would hate to ruin the new tires with them wobbling. The driverside is worse.I also have to do a full tune up and oil change so the wife wouldn't appreciate me buying springs too.

hard to say, if its tight it should be ok, when i pulled my **** apart when the engine blew, i only had two bolts holding the 'verter on and i didnt notice anything. however the first few weeks with the new engine the bolts came looose and made a bad vibration, had to tigthen them back down but everything is ok. i say tighten them all best u can then give it a try.

TO CLARIFY:
My phone hasn't been broken for "3 days" WTF!
Did I not just come over to your place on Wed. (14th) and help you break loose those converter bolts and do the rest of the crap you didn't. That makes one day.
And again, to say I was supposed to help and didn't , I did more than once. Sorry I can't be on call to work on everyone elses ****.

Yeah mike it'll work if it's crossthreaded, as long as it's tight and not going anywhere! oh and I hear you need to peen out the holes alot of the time on those aftermarket deep pans before you put them on... i have no personal experience but alot of old timers tell me that. Personally I think peening out the holes any time you install a pan is simply a good habit
let me know if u need help this weekend i'll come by
