This not thirdgen related crap is getting anoying

Ok so we cant talk about anything thats not thirdgen related unless we have a thirdgen obviously i think that "some moderaters" are taking this to far! And in my previous post i posted what happened to me because everyone thought i was going to have a kid and i let everyone know what went on so in 9 months when some people might ask me how the kid was and i decided to tell what happened now but people make comments like "to much information". Come on man this is a community for enthusiests can come and talk if you want to lock stuff like that you can start a nassi community of your own. This is a west coast forum for friends, i like every one here that i have met thats why i stick around just like everyone else who has moved on from thirdgens. So i know this will be locked soon so i just thought i would speak my mind thanks......

Yeah man I agree, the rules should be looser for regional forums. Of course im sure the mod will say "then make your own forum" so we can't win.

btw im sorry to hear about that, but everything happens for a reason man, like the others said

I can see locking post about 4thgens and things like that, but seems like the regional boards > west coast would be about the "people" and what's new with them be it car related, home related, or job related, LIFE related.

come on TraviZ make us some forums!!

yeah i mean if someone wants to talk about the thirdgen only there is plenty of room outside the regional forums. righ? look at how many people that owned thirdgens before and moved on but still like the people around here. Harjeet, Robbie, Tony, Will, and me. And even the thirdgen lover of the world Travis owns a 4th gen. come man if we kept the regional forums only thirdgen related there wouldnt be much talking going on. this is a community of enthusiest thirdgen or not that like to talk to eachother.

it's a community of car enthusiasts, no matter what they drive. I'd like to liken the forum to a bunch of guys standing in a garage shooting the ****.

Kyle... did you get my PM?

As for community rules on the regional forums, I hereby resign. I thought I was helping out this group but ya'll obviously have different ideas than me. It's better to talk about random stuff than the 3rd gen.

It is technically a "tech" site and he's just doing what the administrator asks of him, can you blame him for that? I can't. It would be cool to have a off topic forum like the other sites though.

I think that the dicks are the people that are forcing you to somehow make every post 3rdgen-related.

Hey it's in the rules that you agree to when you sign up so...

Stay on-topic to each specific board/post and discuss Third Generation (1982-1992) F-Bodies (Camaros and Firebirds) only.
Sounds pretty clear to me.I think that if a topic strays to something else it's ok but to start an off topic thread isn't.

Well, good points on both sides.

Definitely gotta feel Kyle's point that this particular forum is specifically for West Coast members to congregate, etc, so some freedoms should be allowed.

If you look at other regional boards, they are basically "classifieds" for that area.
Not a real thriving audience.

On the other hand Mike is just layin' out the rules as he's supposed to and how they are outlined.

I know Mike wants the best for this place and his main objective is to keep newcomers from straying away with all the junk that you guys post sometime, but it must already be pretty cool to have all these non-3rd genners coming back for more!

It can't be that boring if you keep coming back Jeremy.
We get the best of all worlds here, some 3rd gen content, friends we know and some b.s.
You're just jibber jabbering with a bunch of guys you don't really know over at 3rdgen.org.
Albeit they're pretty amusing at times, but you can have that banter on any of the gajillion message boards out there.

That's all I got.

i would like mike to stay a mod, so we dont get someone worse, gotta admit he aint too bad. better then a stranger coming in. i do agree with the regional idea. And I don't mind a mod around when the crap talking starts getting out of hand.

I wasn't the one complaining in the first place, just sharing my opinion as well. I know a lot of the people on 3go, just as I know a couple of people in this forum. I guess I can't help it, I'm just a jubber jabberer.

I think the " i " is next to the " u " on his keyboard and has caused a mishap also known as a typo.

well i dont have anything against mike, he's cool and definetly better than a random moderator. Plus he cooks a great burger. I would just like to see the west coast forum have a little more leniancy (sp), and not have to be thirdgen related in every post.

And yes it's true there are a LOT of non 3rd genners in here, forcing us to keep every topic on thirdgens would just encourage us to stop posting

Fuhq it. I've been getting bad vibes from a lot of you folks when they gave me Mod. I don't know why the hell I even offered to do it.

Have fun.

Oh... not to be a baby about this *little* episode but I cancelled my reservations for Tahoe. I've got nothing in common with you guys outside of a silly car.

Totally not your fault, Kyle. Don't sweat it. Now I can call names back at Vin and learn to ignore the antisemitism.

About not going to Tahoe, that is my call. With the weather like it is on the coast this weekend (and my proximity to it) the Central Coast is looking more attractive to me. Also, I've been in a huge rut at work. I just don't need to be around people this weekend.

About not going to Tahoe, that is my call. With the weather like it is on the coast this weekend (and my proximity to it) the Central Coast is looking more attractive to me. Also, I've been in a huge rut at work. I just don't need to be around people this weekend.
Mike, I'm sorry to hear about all of that

For one you can call me names whenever, I can take it

And ruts happen, but sometimes you have to dump the clutch and drag that bitch out of there.

What's up man, seen you on norcal as well.
Glad you joined, although an odd thread to start off in, haha.

Any particular type of 3rd gen you are considering?

There's a recent post from Ramair21 who is currently in the midst of finishing the swap.
