Car: 1988 Pontiac formula Firebird
Engine: 5.0 h.o.
Transmission: 5 Speed
Axle/Gears: 3.55 10 bolt
help
trany is almost in but transmission lines dont connect to trany... i took the olds off an tryed and used them but no luck. some got any ides for me to to this the only thing that is stopping me from getting it back together what do u guys think

Axle/Gears: Stock IRS
Explain how they do not connect. I always knew for me, they are a pain in the *** to catch the threads and screw them in, If that is your only problem, You just need to mess with them at different angles until you can catch some threads, I usually have to tilt the line up some so it matches the transmission perfectly.

Plus, don't cross thread them.
The guy that owned one of my cars before me did that, and screwed up the brass fittings they screw into.

Don't know.. have not tried yet.
In the middle of making one Trans-Am out of 2.
But may pull the tranny and do the job out of the car.
Its the toy, not the daily..
