The guy with the 84 says it has an L69 but was that ever mated to a 4-speed manual muncie like he says? Can anyone enlighten me and give me a general overview of the L69 its potential and such, also a comparison between it and the L03?

Go to the history section and read about the '84 in this link:
https://www.thirdgen.org/1984-chevy-camaro
This might help. Also, do you mean the 4 speed Auto (700R4) or a 4 speed manual? My 1st 3rg gen was an '84 5.0 H.O.(high output)Z/28. It was rear ended on the freeway and totaled (R.I.P.) a few years back and I replaced it with my current '88 5.7 IROC-Z. Are you looking at buying your 1st 3rd gen? (Iwish I new about this site before I went and bought my '88) If so, are you trying to find out which one to buy? Look in the history section and find out what options(PW,PL,PM,305 or 350, 700R4 or T-5,carbed/TBI/Crossfire/ TPI,etc.) you want. I hope this helps... Daniel U

I think 82 was the only year to get the 4 speed muncie. all other manual trannys were 5 speeds

Not my first third gen I had a 82 LU5 CFI but sold it and got a 99 firebird sold that and now I'm back in the market for one. I meant the 4-speed manual. I've gone over all the history pages for each year but the details are usually rather limited and the numbers can only tell me so much about the car. Looking closer at the listed 84 I noticed the front bumper has the only 82-83 grill style, In 84 I believe they changed those into fill ins. hmmm...I think the guy might have the year of his car listed incorrectly.
Now it's only a grand, can't imagine the shape it's in headlights seem to be stuck.

Looks kinda ruff, but like he said, what are you gonna get for 1K. It looks like there are 2gen Pontiac "honeycomb" style wheels on it also. What are your plans for it? I like the bodystyle better on the '85 in the last link myself.
