Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: no freakin clue lol
my new bird

Ok guys my new project has olds 403 in her. She is a 77 firebird formula original California car . Now i cannot find a answer any ware so again I will ask you guys. Did my year require a smog pump. I have no emission label and from what I can tell there inst one on the car. I do have a cat and such on the exhaust.

According to my Mitchell Emission control Application guide you need for a '77 pontiac w/a 403(6.5l) pcv,acl,evap,oc,fr,bp/egr,spk, ais.
air injection is california only.
a 400(6.5l) would have pcv, acl, evap, oc, fr, bp/egr, spk, efe
no efe on firebird

Looking at WDDAVIS post, you need AIS. That is Air Injection System(smog pump).
