What do you all got going on? I know there is a cruise coming up, Unfortunately for me, I had a huge issue with ordering pistons from Thunder Racing who ended up going out of business and trying to scam many people including myself from our orders. It took until recent weeks to finally get a refund by chargeback with Visa. I ordered the same pistons again from a local shop and last week they finally arrived. They are just some Diamond brand -31cc dished forged slugs.
The shop has them now to re-balance to my current eagle crank and rods and boring the block to match them. I chose Total Seal rings this time around for my compression sealing needs. The short block should be ready in about two weeks which means I will miss this cruise but it is okay, I have 6 weeks off coming up which will give me plenty of time to get this car in tip top running condition and I will see you all at the local tracks!

I'm currently ordering Wilwood brakes, and starting to order/research my Moser 9" stuff.
Wow, that's quite a surprise about Thunder Racing. I ordered quite a bit from them last decade.
Hope you guys have a great time on the cruise and that I'll be able to join in on some Nor-Cal 3rd gen action this summer.

I have WAY too many vices! Guns, cars, women, motorcycles, rc cars, with that being said its time to build my third gen! My 91 Formula gets smogged this weekend. I had to put 2 new cats on it. Currently looking for 6 speed conversion parts for it. Soon as that happens the stroker motor is ready to go in!
Haa @ vices. I know the feeling.
Did we see your Formula at the track couple years ago?
I think my GTA may see pavement in 2013!
Only briefly though...paint/body work shortly after it flys as expected.

sweet isn't it nice to be able to work on one and have one to drive around in still?
I am picking up my motor on Friday and just ordered a new TCI rattler torque converter to go with it. Will post photos as I gather my parts.
I am slowly working on mine. If I can borrow my father in laws pickup next week...(hoping this weekend we can get the old cap off the back of his truck over to the dump), my engine will be at the machine shop. I have also been working on my tpi getting that all cleaned (I glass beaded it) and clearcoated. Last couple of nights I have been degreasing the outside of the tranny. I cleaned and painted my serpentine set up aluminum color. I am running out of things to do inside the engine compartment.
Duane - Would love to see pics of that cleaned up TPI!

- My GTA finally fired up this month, thanks to Bennie.
- Tuning first week of August if the stars align.
- Few more parts to add after it runs well.
- This was the pretty little part I bought this week (electric vacuum pump)

She is fired up? Sweet!
Del, you might have to go through the pics to find the TPI.
