With your extensive knowledge and description of your problem here, I'd say anything is possible. Some people think VTEC motors have a lot of "pick up", some don't.

Welcome to thirdgen ownership!

Re: Slow Acceleration

So what kind of car do you have?
What engine is in it?
What transmission is in it?
Any history?
Modifications?

Neat is it carbureted if so high output not high output is it TBI is it TPI? Is it in a Camaro is it in a Firebird how about a Corvette maybe a Monte Carlo? Does it seem engine related does it seem transmission related? Has it always done this, did it just start doing it recently did anything else happen when it started doing this?

Please try to add information to your post that might pertain to the problem so we can have a better understanding of what is going on

Re: Slow Acceleration

The last thing I did to it was get the carb rebuilt, it’s a quadrajet carburetor, so maybe that’s what it is? Could it be a timing issue?

Did did you take out the distributor at any point? If not then your timing should not have been moved. Check all the vacuum lines and connectors make sure they are correct it all plugged in. If they messed up the carburetor rebuild it could cause all sorts of weird things
