Well it kind of looks like I won't have all the funds to have the car done in time. Building the transmission is going to kill the wallet. If it weren't for that I'd definatley be making it out. I'm still going to try to get it going but odds are against it. I'll probably still come out but not with the TTA.

I can't definately agree to anything without a date, but I'm in as long as it doesn't run into power tour. I think the earlier the date, the better. It would be nice to get out and get some early times for my car at a private gathering. Can you run clocks off?

While I don't mind if people run clocks off, If i got I WANT clocks on for my runs. I want to see on video what my car is doing down the 1/4 mile.
I'll have the deposit money by the end of December. So, whatever it turns out to be the money is going in. And if I have to bring the Escort, then I suppose I'll have the escort at the track. Might be funny.

It will have to be one way or the other. I doubt they will want to keep switching it on and off.

all you do is put "no clocks" in shoe polish on your back window.....they know how to figure it out at the track. i've done it several times. and some people like clocks off, but it's just a simple switch for them to push, it's there for that purpose alone.

Tim,
Call them and get some dates(find out what applies w/ 25+ cars vs. under and rain date info) so we can figure out which works out best and then lets go from there. We can get a sign up list started and start collecting the funds. U , Nick and I got the deposit.

Hmm I too have been considering Power Tour since it is actually starting up this way this year. It'll be like the day after I turn 18 too, just perfect
Anyways, I was hoping this would be a bit earlier in the year, but I suppose its no big deal if its in May or whenever. I guess it just gives me a bit more time to pump what I can out of the ol' 305

as for the clocks off thing...all they have to do is push a button on the computer to turn the clocks off LOL my friends are the ones that run the computer at US41 and i worked the line last summer....and ZIGGSTER we are talking about US41 which is in Morocco Indiana which all you have to do is go straight up 52 until it turns into 41 and go through all the little bo-dunk towns (like Kentland) and you will finally come to US41 a little bit north of Morocco on the right hand side.....

I'm pretty tired right now so I could've missed it, but has a date been finalized yet? I don't want to lock in payment in the other thread because last year the track rental was the same weekend as one of the race weekends for Chicagoland Speedway.
Any update?
