finally got the motor swap done,thanks to all who helped me on here with my manifold problem.sounds mean with open headers lol.going to exhaust shop monday to finish tieing y-pipe into rest of exhaust,cant wait to hit the gas on the street to find out if theres much of a performance gain over the l69 305

 

what kind of engine did you swap out? 305 to 350?

 

305 to a rebuilt 72 350

 

oh thats awesome im sure youll notice a diffenrence in power. thats what i been hearing from the guys on this site.

im doing the same thing to my engine. replacing it with a 350. i got a 1977 block. im making a 383. i just got to take it into the shop to get it bored, honed and decked. and i should be able to start on the engine

let us know monday when you get the exhaust hooked up. i know the 305 can put me in the seat fairly good. the 350 should be alot more fun to drive.

well got it all done finally and let me say im still grinning after the drive home in it,lol deffinatly not a stock 350 at 40mph and hammer the gas it will break tires loose in 2nd gear,not bad for a 500 dollar purchase lol(perks of driving a tow truck) bought a guys car after he wrecked it,he said it was just rebuilt,but you know everybody says that .bought car for 500 pulled out motor put in my car and scrapped wrecked car and got 300 for shell,so i got 200 in motor lolwell + new headers need to get this thing dynoed
