recently i started driving my AMC Matador (1971 w/360 2bbl)
i had to put a ford carberator on it untill i can get my old one rebuilt. I have read and was told that my car would put up some good numbers at the strip (high 14's), so i raced it one day. Comming off the line i had a horible hesitation, and at the end of my gears my carb spits and sputters because its not getting enuff gas. towards the end of the 1/4 it would not go past 78 mph because the carb started sputtering and didn't dump enuff fuel to raise the RPMs. My RT was like a .581 (on a .500 light) how much time do you think my bad carburater caused my times.

I only ran 18.2's and was very upset and embarassed!!!
