New Best.

Ran My Daily Driver 88 Formula last night, at Atco.

Fortunatly it was just about a PERFECT night to run. Low 70's low humidity, place was packed so it was bout an hour tween runs.

Anyway the nitty Gritty
Ran a 14.841 @ 92.1

Da slip

60'er ............................ 2.103
330 .............................. 6.114
1/8 ............................... 9.487 @ 73.45
990 ............................... 12.302
1/4 ................................ 14.841 @ 92.16

2nd bestes
60'er ............................. 2.097
330 ............................... 6.084
1/8 ................................ 9.410 @ 74.34
990 ................................ 12.268
1/4 ................................. 14.884 @ 89.93
Freakin missed 4th on this one.

The Car is an 88 Formula, 305 tuned port, 5spd, 3.45 disk posi with 107K miles on it. Mods are Flowmaster Catback, and the venerable K&N filter.
Runs were on 245/50/16 V rated street tires. 8* of timing, and enough extra octane to keep the 89 from pingin... (gotta love the 104). Other than that She's untampered with, and has no working synchro's to speak of in the trans.

No Tirespin to speak of, didn't feel any and the spotters didn't see any, just a lot of clutch feathering.. With a lot of practice i could probably launch it a bit harder, but i'm not that interested. That's hard enough

I've since had it back down there one or two more times. Again if i can find all the gears it's always in the 14.84-89 range, and always in the 92.1-92.95 range. Raced hot or cold, it runs the same. 60'ers in the 2.11-2.14 range, since then. so that's bout as hard is i can launch it

i'm leaving about 2800-3000 and hammering on the gas, and letting the clutch out. No spin, orif i let it out too fast she's sideways.

That's cool.. it's fun, and it's not powerfull enough to get away from ya if your tired so, it's alright in my book if only the tranny weren't hammered.

Glad to see there's another stock formy out there running decent.

i've had a bunch of low 2.1's but only that one 2.09
if i raced it more than to get my fix i'd prolly be able to improve some, i'm just not that interested in beatin on this one. with the Z28 waiting in the wings so to speak
