I put in Lokar aftermarket throttel cable, bracket and transmission cable. Im having trouble adjusting the new tranny able. It has a little sleeve with a set screw that you adjust on the TB. If it is real loose, the car won't shift at all even at low throttle till about 3000 to 4000 rpm, then shifts real hard. After tightening it up little by little, it still doesn't seem to shift right. At medium throttle it is shifting like 2000 to 2200 rpm and at WOT at 3500 to 4500. Both these points I beleive are too low, especially if I want to drag race. Yes I can shift manually at the track, but I would like to have the automatic adjusted properly as well. If I tighten it up any more I might limit the throttle bodies from openeing all the way or break the cable or something.
any ideas?
If I can't firgure this out I might just put the stock cables back on

1) Loosen the set screw.
2) Have an assistant hold the throttle to the floor (I hope you realize this is to be done with the engine off - not running).
3) Pull back on the housing until it stops. Tighten the set screw.
4) That should be it. Give it a road test. Let us know.

Sorry to be so stupid, but what do you mean by "pull back on the housing"? And yes, I did realize the motor would be off

IM still a little foggy on what you are saying. Here is what I did tonight. I noticed that with the accelarator pedal to the floor and the Tranny cable disconnected, the TB blades were all the way open, but with the tran cable connected it was holding back the TB blades a little. I loosened the tran cable to the point where it didnt restrict the tb blades, but the trans shifted horrible, or almost not at all, like the tran cable was disconnected. Then I slowly tightened the trans cable until it just seemed to shift ok> It shifts all rigth but it still limits the tb blades. Maybe this is due to the LT1 TB that i adapted to my tpi motor being a little different, I dont' knwo
