Just got back from Farmington (1/8th mile)

Well tonight was my first time running my car down the strip... actually was my first time ever going to a drag strip. Tonight was Test N Tune at Farmington Dragway in NC

My car is completely stock.. not a thing has been replaced performance wise.. My car is a '91 Z28 L98.. 3:23 Posi and some Dunlop Sport A2 tires (245 50 R16)

Anyway here's what i got out of it...

This was my first run...

RT : .731
60FT :1.970
E.T. : 9.161
MPH :76.708

And this was my best run...

RT : .768
60FT : 1.934
E.T. : 9.111
MPH : 76.199

Had a great time.. i know my RT can be a little better, but practice makes perfect i guess

those 60ft times are really good for running street tires, must be nice to have a track that actually preps the track before the races.

I have a question.... how much could i squeeze off my time with doing just suspension and traction mods? Could 8's be attainable? What I'd really like is to have about an 8.5 second car... I ran a '02 Z28 that did a 8.49@84mph with a 1.92 60ft... so obviously he has more power because i'm on'y trapping at 76mph... but with some DR's and other suspension mods how much could i drop my times without going into the motor yet.

Yeah it'd be nice if All tracks did that, good 60ft times might be obtainable then....
