Bald or fresh
Bald or fresh
Hi guys, I got a question if it isnt obvious. I have a Camaro and it one legged, the one tire that will spin is almost completely bald and I'm curious as to if it would be better to rotate the tires getting soem good tread on the back, or leave it on like a slick as Im hitting the track wednesday.
This will be my first time at the track so if you want to add any other tips feel free, all is appreciated.
Thanks

Buy some new tires! A bald tire is nowhere near a slick. A bald tire is a worn out, dried out, slippery piece of rubber. I'll be amazed if it even gets through tech inspection.
Even a new set of street tires will perform better than a bald tire.
Without installing a posi, you can get better traction from a "one legger" by buying an air bag kit (Air lift) and installing one air bag into the right rear spring. About 15 PSI can help keep that tire on the ground. Find and install a rear sway bar. That will also help keep the tire on the ground.
