We have run a best of 8.11 @ 85+ in 1/8 mile. Are you spinning tires a lot? What is your 60' times?
You should see more MPH IMO unless you are spinning way too much. You have enough cubic inches to build speed. We are only running a 305, granted with slicks and 4.10 posi. Our 60' is at 1.85. We are in process of changing cam and manifold to drop 60' further. We have no traction issue, just not enough torque.

I think that you would unleash many ponies if you did a cam swap. Your current cam is a little on the small side, considering the large intake runner size of the heads you have. I would suggest something with a duration of at least 230 @ .050" and close to .500 lift. You might consider stepping up to a 750cfm carb also. And yes, that 2 1/2" exhaust is most likely hurting performance. 3" would be much better.

Also carb is too small, 750 or an 800 would be much better. I'm running 86/ 87 mph with the GTA in sig. But the car is slow, 8.80s to 8.90s. I don't think much of the xe268 for a race cam. I'm going to try a 305h next spring, but I don't intend on driving it every day like I did.

i just puts some 80s in, man it feels alot better. i thougth i had 76 in the back but they were 75. i might try some 82s like you said.
well the setup you got is a good one,you might even try 71 84,or just keep playing with it till its right, those dart pro1s are bad *** heads, with good flow,i would bump up to a victor jr and 284 or 294 extrem comp cam,i just put the victor jr on and the 294 cam it and whent to the track and my best et was 7.6 at 96 with 1.90 60 ft time on street tires, with the heads you got and the 294 cam you should trap at least 96 mph,but you already have a good runner, just tune it in
