What else is required to run 12's?? (safety equipement)
I just finished installing my driveshaft loop on my firebird. I remember the last time I went 12.XX I got booted for no loop, and a few other odds and ends, but that was a while ago. What else do I need to think about?? ........I want to run my firebird on the 19th (this friday) and it will at LEAST run 12's on the motor, probably more towards low 12's, high 11s. If I use the bottle, it will most certainly run 11's, maybe even a high 10, in which case I know for sure I"m screwed on safety equipement.

Very little is needed to run 12's. Loop, helmet.
Getting into the 11's needs a single layer fire jacket, roll bar and 5 point harness.

I use an old motorcycle helmet at the track. Last time I went to the track the tech guy checked mine and it had expired in Dec 2001. I guess there's ways around that if you don't wanna get a new one, he just caught me off guard because I didn't even think about the Snell rating. It's the first time anyone has ever checked my helmet.
Fortunately he was cool about it and still let me race.
