Saturday morning will be my first time at an SCCA autocrossing event. I'll be driving my stock 89 Iroc. Does anyone have any pointers?

You will likely be a bit slow compared to other cars but do not worry about that. Many of the other cars will be set up for this type of event and that makes a difference. When you register find out if there is someone that can take you on a walk through the course. Ask questions about proper approach for various corners. Generally you want to stay tight to the pylons to make the course shorter, every little bit helps. Walk the course until you have it memorized; try to drive it in your head if you can. This link is for a video a friend of mine did at a recent event http://www.thewolff.com/gallery/albu...t4_run2_49_3xx
He beat my best time by 1.3 seconds that day. Watch what the fast cars are doing and try to drive the same line. This is not drifting ao keep the car from sliding all over because that will slow you down. Last but not least break befor you turn and accelerate out. If you are pushing through a turn you will be very slow.
Oh yeah don't forget to have fun, that is what you are there for.
