Ebrake question

Is it necessary to keep a hooked up ebrake in an all drag car? Will it fail tech if it's removed?

I haven't had one in my car for about 4 years now. As long as the parking pawl in the tranny holds the car when I drive up onto the trailer, I have no use for an E-brake.

If you have a manual transmission you might consider keeping it but there's no rule saying you have to have one.
