What will i run w/ a 1.8-2.0 60'?

The topic is the question. My current best is in the sig. The next time i go to the track I will have BFG drag radials(@ or below 18psi), spohn lca and relocation brackets, spohn panhard rod, no front sway bar and 6 cylinder front springs. I am just wondering in general how many tenths in the 1/4 each tenth in the 60' is worth.

If you were to pull a 1.8, I belive that would result in a low 14.1-14.2.

just to let you know, with the new gear setup.... i spun really bad and did a 2.28 60 foot and ran a 14.7 at 90mph

previous run..did a 1.92 60foot and ran a 14.17 at 91.1mph.

two days later in what i thought was abit better conditions, i did a 1.88 60 and ran a 13.99 at 92.6mph.
this was all done with a exhaust leak and a going bad torque arm bushing /mount

old gears i went from a 14.2 at 95ish mph with a 2.02 60 foot to a 14.02 at 96.1mph with a 1.94 60 foot. then i went 13.89 at 96.6 with a 1.89 60 foot.

so definately some room for improvement.

What he said. Be careful not to lower your tire pressure too much. You want to run as much pressure as you can without spinning. I would say make your first pass at 20 psi and try going up or down based on the results of your launch.

also keep in mind that my best run was made in july on a hot day (air temp in the 90s). my next run will be in later september or october.

I'm in the same boat as of last Wednesday.
Have BFG drag radials as well @ about 20psi.
Couldn't seem to get my 60' under 2.0.
I'm stuck at a 14.2@94 or so.
I don't really burnout, just spin the tires a bit.
I know I should be able to get 1.8-9 60's, not sure how.

How/what RPM do you launch yours Orr89RocZ ?

i do a small burnout on my street tires, just enough to get some smoke coming out.

i stage and brake stall to about 2400-2500rpm. i got 2800 stall. then just let the brake out and kinda walk into the throttle. the brake stall gets it off the line and i go into the throttle, NOT mash, just depress kinda slowly to maintain traction. tires usually just hook and i goes thru the gears.

With the BFG Comp T/A DR's, you need to heat them up..every ire is differan but the ones on my Mustangl ike getting real sticky after a 5-6 second burnout....My problem is they are sticking so good im getting bad wheelhop.

What do you cut on street tires and what launch method? Just out of curiosity. I'm on kind of a quest for traction myself..
